OId Poem

There's no logic in biology, its eventualities and strains
No empathy in a climate that floods indifferent drains

No satisfaction with a sun that ends the solace of the night,
No serenity in the moon, or its parasitic light.

There's no reprieve in the shallow stream slippery with moss,
No glory in a victory that is someone else's loss.

Not water from a well can ease this universal thirst,
I have no demon ridding ritual nor talisman when I'm cursed

Stars fall without struggle, the heavens' sparkling lies--
Now I take my only liberties from your animating eyes.
